When Parallel Lines Meet at Infinity
1998/2001

A complete loop of the Circle Line, this piece is a haunting elegy for lost journeys on London transport and the tireless repetition of a commuting Londoner's life. A painted black dot, representative of the vanishing point of perspective, is the mark of infinity in the work – the train constantly chasing it and yet never reaching it, the monotony of a particular part of life in striking imagery.
